URL Whitelisting/Blacklisting on Evren Manager Portal
⚠️ Changing these settings can allow users to access unauthorized websites, which might increase the risk for your organization.
This article guides us on how to set or modify browser settings such as blocking and filtering URLs. As an administrator, you can allow/disallow specific URLs so that users can only visit certain websites.
Please follow the steps below to manage URL Whitelist/Blacklist settings for browsers on the devices managed under your organization's account.
1. Browse to Evren Manager Portal.
2. Navigate to Browser Configuration and click on Privacy & Security on the left menu.
3. Navigate to the Blocking & Filtering section. You can enable the URL Whitelist/Blacklist function by clicking the drop-down menu.
4. Next, choose the function you would like to implement and add the list of URL schema to be allowed (Whitelist) or not allowed (blacklist) to be accessed using a browser on all managed devices
⚠️ Please insert the Evren OS Manager Portal URL (https://v2.portal.evren.co/login) in the URL schema list so you can modify the browser configuration later.
URL Whitelisting
a. Choose the Whitelist option and insert URLs of websites you desire to be accessible across all devices.
Example of Whitelisted URL:
b. Once you have inserted a list of URL schema, please scroll down and press the Save button.
c. Once the browser policy change occurs after an hour, only sites listed under the URL whitelist shall be accessible, as shown in the screenshot below.
d. Sites that are not listed under the Whitelist will be blocked.
URL Blacklisting
a. Press the Blacklist button and insert URLs of websites you mandate to be non-accessible across all devices.
Example of Blacklist URL Schema:
b. Once you have inserted a list of URL schema, please scroll down and press the Save button.
c. Once the browser policy change occurs after an hour, the sites listed under the Blacklist will be non-accessible.
⚠️ Browser Policy changes take around an hour to get synced to all your devices.
