How to add multiple virtual desktops and switch shortcuts with Evren Workspace
This article guides us on how to add multiple virtual desktops and shortcuts to switch between the virtual desktops using the Evren Workspace.
How to add multiple virtual desktops
- Browse to Evren Manager Portal.
- Navigate to Advance Settings and click on it.
- Next, please click on System Settings.
- Please type Virtual desktops in the search bar and hit Enter.
- Please slide the toggle button to enable the virtual desktop on the local system.
- On the local system, please type Evren Control Center in the Search Bar and double-click on it.
- Also, please look for the Evren icon on the right-bottom of the laptop screen.
- You would need to run the Kde config enforcer to modify under the Advanced and Configs tab.
- Next, please reboot the VM.
- After the reboot, please click on System Settings and search for Virtual Desktops.
- You may click on Add Desktop to add more virtual desktops based on your preference. Upon completion, please click Apply.
How to switch virtual desktops
Method 1 (System Settings)
- Please open System Settings and navigator to Shortcuts > KWin to set shortcuts for switching virtual desktops.
- You should see entries such as “Switch to Desktop 1” which if you click you’ll notice has a default option of Ctrl+F1. Please insert the desired shortcut keys and do the same for the other options based on the number of created virtual desktops.
Method 2 (Desktop Taskbar)
- Please click on the desired virtual desktops to switch screens using the Taskbar.
